Trip Overview

Despite being lower in elevation than the Khumbu Mountain/Glacier range, Dudh Kunda Trekking is a part of the Solukhumbu area. Both experienced and novice hikers will find the walk to be an exciting alternative. In Nepalese, Dudh Kunda Lake is referred to as a milky lake and is located at the foot of the Number Himal, where it is also referred to as Shorong Yuk Lha or the defender of the whole Solu area.
Additionally, Dudh Kunda Lake holds great significance for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimages, and locals hold the view that by taking a plunge in the sacred lake, one can expect to quickly accomplish his wishes and have his sins washed away. Along with offering breathtaking vistas of several large mountains throughout the world, the trip lets you experience the eerie rhododendron woods.

It is one of the few locations where you can travel two days from the roadhead to the mountain’s base and return with breathtaking photographs of a deep turquoise lake.

You will be able to enjoy the legendary Sherpa hospitality like it’s the 1960s once more because there won’t be many people on the trail and it will be very charming.
