Trip Overview

Extreme climbers can accomplish a spectacular achievement by scaling Kwangde Peak, also known as Kangde Ri, Kwangde, or Kwangdi Ri (6011m and 19721 fits). Beginners are tested by this peak, and amateurs are intrigued. This peak may be found south-west of Namche Bazaar, above the Bhote Koshi River. Kwangde Peak is a group “B” climbing peak, according to the Nepal Mountaineering Association. The Nepalese expedition headed by Kumar Khagdar and Bikram Shah made the initial attempt in 1975. But along the south ridge, Lhakpa Tenzing, Sonam, Gyalzen, Shambhu Tamang, and Sonam Hisi were able to reach the summit.
Similar to this, the expedition culminates with a breathtaking and expansive vista of the tall Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Makalu in the east, Everest, Cho Oyu, and Rolwaling in the northwest. According to previous climbers’ experiences, climbing Kwandge Peak is challenging and demands advance planning. Thus, having a strong physical condition and prior climbing expertise are prerequisites. Despite the fact that the routes on the North and South faces are both very difficult. This peak ought to whet your appetite if you enjoy an adventurous experience on a Himalayan peak.
