Trip Overview

The Everest three pass trek is the pinnacle of adventure in the Khumbu region because it offers the ideal balance of mountain scenery, high-altitude trekking, off-the-beaten-path travel, elusive Sherpa culture, and testing high passes. This challenging tour is intended for adventure seekers who wish to challenge themselves in the inaccessible Everest region. Even for seasoned hikers, the Three Pass Trek on Everest is a significant difficulty.

We traverse three high and difficult passes on the Everest High Passes Trek: Kangma La Pass (5,535m/18,159ft), Cho-La Pass (5,420m/17,782ft), and Renjo La Pass (5,435m). We also visit the Everest base camp (8,848 meters above sea level), scale Kalapatthar and Gokyo Ri summits, and stroll through the Gokyo Lakes. Additionally, this journey offers a comprehensive view of the Nangpa La Valley and Marlung, one of the Khumbu region’s most isolated and undeveloped Sherpa villages.

Trekking the Everest Three Passes is classified as “strenuous,” requiring a high level of physical fitness and unwavering resolve. The best months of the year to set out on the journey to these difficult high passes are September through October, March through April, and May.
