The Chandragiri Cable Car, which was inaugurated in 2016, connects Thankot with the Chandragiri Hills using 38 gondolas that can transport 1,000 people each hour. Depending on the conditions and the wind, it is roughly 2.5 kilometres from the lower station to the top of Chandragiri and takes 9 to 16 minutes to get there. The Chandragiri Temple on the hill is well-known.
