The 159 sq km Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park is located 12 km from the capital city’s center on the northern edge of the Kathmandu Valley. In 2002, the region was designated as the eighth national park in the nation. It was governed by the Shivapuri Watershed Development Board before being designated as a national park, and it was subsequently named the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve.
Almost every hill in the Kathmandu valley is covered by this protected national park. You can find a cottage house nearby that can offer you comfortable lodging, and setting up camp in a tent is another excellent choice. Cycling all day and camping at night might make for an exciting experience.
