Trip Overview

Tsum Valley trek is a “off the beaten path” trek that takes place in the secluded valleys of Tsum at the Nepal-Tibet Visitor Center in the Manaslu Area. This tranquil valley is also rich in Tibetan culture and contains a few historic religious groups. It is magnificently situated in the Boudha Himal Range, which includes Mount Manaslu (8,156 meters), Ganesh Himal (7422 meters), Shringi Himal (7161 meters), and several other high mountains. Due to its isolation and remoteness, the distinctive culture of Tsum Valley is still pristine and may be fully experienced on the Tsum Valley Trek. similar to the majority of treks in Nepal.
Tsum Valley Trek begins by passing through terraced settlements before gradually moving to higher pastures and glades. The settlements with Tibetan origin that are found before the trip crosses the higher grounds include Aarughat, Soti Khola, Machha Khola, Jagat, and Phillim. After Phillim, the journey enters the Tibetan Buddhist settlements of the Manaslu area, marked by increasing numbers of mane dividers and small Chorten. After Phillim, a branch of the main route called Tsum Valley extends as far as it can up to the border of Tibet. The Ganesh Himal Range, Boudha Himal, and Shringi Himal surround the valley, creating a stunning mountain backdrop. The Manaslu Area’s old and significant cloisters, such Mu Gompa and Gomba Lungdang, give the naturally stunning a surreal feel.
